Health Guarantee

Bringing home a new puppy is exciting, and we understand how important it is to feel confident about your puppy’s health.

At Doxie Puppies Place, we believe every puppy deserves a healthy, caring start. We pay close attention to our puppies as they grow and provide age-appropriate care before they leave for their new homes.

Our Health Guarantee is designed to give new families clear information about their puppy’s health, the care received before going home, and the steps to follow if a health concern is discovered.

Every Puppy Comes With a One-Year Health Guarantee

Every Dachshund puppy from Doxie Puppies Place is provided with a one-year health guarantee beginning from the date the puppy goes home.

The guarantee is designed to provide added peace of mind during your puppy’s first year with your family.

It explains the health protection included with your puppy, the responsibilities of the new owner, and the steps that should be followed if a health concern covered by the agreement is diagnosed.

Because every health situation is different, any claim under the guarantee must follow the terms provided in the written Health Guarantee.

A Healthy Start Matters

The first weeks of a puppy’s life are an important time for growth and development.

We focus on providing our Dachshund puppies with proper care, a clean environment, regular attention, appropriate nutrition, and everyday handling as they grow.

Before a puppy goes home, we want the new family to understand the puppy’s current health information and any care that should continue after homecoming.

Veterinary Care Before Going Home

Our goal is for each puppy to leave with clear health information appropriate for their age.

Depending on the puppy’s age and individual care schedule, this may include:

  • Veterinary examination
  • Age-appropriate vaccinations
  • Deworming
  • General health checks
  • Health and vaccination records
  • Information about continuing veterinary care

Families should review all records provided with their puppy and share them with their own veterinarian after homecoming.

Your Puppy’s Health Records

When your puppy joins your family, you should receive the health information available for that puppy.

These records can help your veterinarian understand what care has already been provided and what may be needed next.

Keep your puppy’s records in a safe place and bring them with you to your first veterinary appointment.

Schedule a Veterinary Examination After Homecoming

We strongly encourage every family to have their new puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian shortly after bringing the puppy home.

This appointment gives your veterinarian the opportunity to:

  • Perform a general physical examination
  • Review the puppy’s existing health records
  • Discuss future vaccinations
  • Talk about parasite prevention
  • Review feeding and nutrition
  • Answer questions about puppy development
  • Establish an ongoing wellness plan

Your veterinarian will become an important part of your puppy’s long-term care.

If your written guarantee requires the first examination within a specific number of days, that requirement should be followed exactly.

For example:

Your puppy must be examined by a licensed veterinarian within [48/72] hours of arriving home for the Health Guarantee to remain valid.

Conditions Outside the Health Guarantee

A health guarantee cannot cover every situation that may affect a puppy after leaving our care.

Conditions caused by accidents, injuries, neglect, improper care, poor nutrition, failure to obtain veterinary treatment, or exposure to illness after homecoming may fall outside the guarantee.

Routine veterinary expenses, normal puppy development, and conditions not specifically covered by the written agreement may also be excluded.

The written Health Guarantee provided with your puppy contains the final terms of coverage.

If you are unsure about anything in the agreement, please ask before bringing your puppy home.

Your Responsibility as a New Puppy Owner

Keeping your Dachshund healthy becomes a shared responsibility once your puppy goes home.

New families should provide appropriate food, clean water, safe housing, veterinary care, vaccinations recommended by their veterinarian, parasite prevention, exercise, training, and plenty of attention.

It is also important to protect a young puppy from unnecessary exposure to areas or animals that may carry contagious illness until your veterinarian says it is safe.

Following your veterinarian’s recommendations can help give your puppy a strong start in their new home.

Dachshund Health and Long-Term Care

Dachshunds are wonderful companions, but their unique body shape means owners should pay attention to healthy weight, appropriate exercise, and activities that may place unnecessary strain on the back.

Maintaining a healthy body condition and discussing exercise with your veterinarian can be helpful throughout your Dachshund’s life.

No health guarantee can replace good long-term veterinary care.

What to Do If You Notice a Health Concern

If your puppy appears sick, uncomfortable, unusually tired, stops eating, or shows other concerning symptoms, contact a licensed veterinarian.

Do not delay urgent veterinary care while waiting for a response from us.

Your puppy’s health should always come first.

If your veterinarian diagnoses a condition that you believe may be covered by the one-year health guarantee, contact Doxie Puppies Place as soon as possible and provide the requested veterinary information.

We will review the situation according to the terms of the guarantee.

Clear Communication Is Important

We want families to understand the health information associated with their puppy before making a decision.

If you have questions about:

  • The one-year health guarantee
  • Veterinary care
  • Vaccination records
  • Deworming
  • Health checks
  • Puppy care
  • What is covered
  • What is not covered

please ask us before completing the adoption process.

We would rather explain something twice than have a new family feel uncertain about their puppy’s health information.

Our Commitment to Your Puppy’s Beginning

Our responsibility begins with providing our puppies with care, attention, and a healthy start.

We want each puppy to leave our care prepared for the next stage of life with a family who understands the responsibility that comes with raising a young Dachshund.

The one-year health guarantee is one part of that commitment.

Good communication, responsible puppy care, regular veterinary attention, and a loving home all work together to give a puppy the best possible beginning.
